So I then though well let me set up Win 7 Ultimate in a VB environment, install the actual HP drivers from the provided CD and see if I can get it to work there. I had SAMBA installed and everything set correctly because I could access the folder everywhere else EXCEPT from the blasted printer/scanner. Even HP's own how to on the matter was not good and wrote for Ubuntu 8.04 if I remember correctly. I have scoured the internet trying to find some tidbit of information in order to make this work.
